Never forget the basics
We will all face times in life when we run out of ideas, energy and hope and just say (either out loud or to ourselves):
“I’ve got nothing left”
But there is always something positive that can be done. And even if that small step forward seems tiny, insignificant and hopeless, it very rarely is.
Just like problems compound, solutions can too. There’s always hope.
So here’s a little checklist you can run through, in any situation, with 3 things to try, when you’re at the end of your tether.
Has Someone Else Been Through This?
When we’re struggling with an issue, unfortunately our first impulse can be to turn inward. We choose not to discuss it with others. Perhaps we’re embarrassed, ashamed… or it just makes us sad to talk about it.
There’s another thing going on here too.
In these days when it’s hard to create real friendship and even harder to get quality time with those people who “get” us and make us feel better… we don’t want to waste that time talking about negative things.
