999 Followers — This Is a moment
The power of persistence
It blows my mind that 999 people follow me on this platform. 1k (if I get there — remember Medium could pull the plug on all of us at any time), will feel even more surreal.
By the way — for any new writers clambering their way to 100 (which I never had to do in order to join the MPP, lucky me) — it’s worth pointing out that this number of followers in no way guarantees decent numbers on any article.
Stats are funny. They mean nothing and yet they mean everything. Numbers don’t lie. But then they do.
All I can say is that I have kept at this. Not to get the numbers, but because the expression helps me so much. And yet. We all check our stats. We all want to grow.
So it does mean something. It means persistence pays off. Keep writing.
