As You Age, This You Must Accept

There are some things you’ll never do

“This could be our last ever chance” can get people to go places, meet up or do things. When you see that band, visit that country, or gather those mates together you feel as if you have won at life.

In your younger years, there’s a back-stop too. It’s not really the last chance, there’ll be others (when you have the time, money, or headspace).

Then in middle age it dawns on you. There are things you will never do.

I always had a dream to be involved with an Olympics. OK, perhaps not compete, but maybe work for the British Olympic Association, be involved in a host bid, even volunteer.

It probably won’t ever happen now.

Don’t put off all of your dreams. Go out and get at least some of them.
