Daily Creativity Might Just Be More Important Than Daily Anything Else

Can I start a movement called Creativism?

We get recommended to do a lot of things every single day. Drink 8 cups of water (or is it 5? 12? How big is the cup? Never mind…) Practice gratitude. Exercise. Eat 5 portions of fruit and veg. Meditate. Be mindful. Journal.

I could go on, but I’d run the risk of going viral.

I would like to add to THE LIST. (Sorry)

Everybody. Do something creative. Every single day.

Join me, as a creativist!

The Rules Of Creativism

Find a way of creative expression you enjoy. Do it honestly, with passion, and for your own benefit first (not “the algorithm”, not social media numbers). Repeat daily (or as often as you can manage).

That’s it.

Ok, I’ve just googled “Creativism” (maybe I should have done that before I started writing this) and unfortunately it’s already a thing. I’m too late, I can’t claim it as my own movement.

Anyway…

All I can tell you is that in the last few months I have built up a daily writing habit and it has made a huge positive difference to my mental health.
