Do You Even Know What You Want?
It’s easy to end up chasing out-of-date goals. Or someone else’s goals. Or no goals at all.
I heard finance author Ramit Sethi talk about being asked repeatedly about passive income (a favourite subject on this platform). He always asks a question back:
“Why do want to make passive income? If you get to your goal of not working, what are you going to do with your time?”
“All the things I’ve always wanted to do”
“Like what?”
…and then he gets met with a blank look.
What do you want? Where do you want to get to? The answers now might not be the same as when you embarked on the path you’re currently on.
