I first became aware of Einstein as the name of Doc’s dog in 80's movie ‘Back To The Future’. Such is the weird and wonderful way that culture and knowledge get handed down the generations.
Later, in my school years when we studied Einstein, a load of us made the connection: “Wait, you mean Doc’s dog?” and it all made sense. Of course a “mad scientist” would name his pet after the quintessential undisputed genius of modern times.
The man often thought of as the smartest human to walk the planet left a huge mark on the world. But one of the greatest things he ever said gets lost in the noise.
And one of the things he never said gets wheeled out time and time again.
