Podcasting should be fun, it should be enjoyable. That’s why you need to pick a subject you’re passionate about to be your niche.

Well, this episode proved to me that I picked the right niche. This episode was so much fun to record.

I was keen to get a friend of mine, Tom, involved because he has been so supportive of the podcast. Then — the idea hit me…

It’s Christmas. A time when lots of breweries make special edition brews. Festive and seasonal, they are often dark, fruity and warming. But some are better than others.

And it’s useful to know what’s good so that you’re not stuck with a duff one on the big day itself since you won’t be going out to get a different one.

So, I went round a few of my local supermarkets and picked beers purely by the festive-ness of the labels (but made sure I looked at nothing else — I wanted to be tasting these beers as blind as possible).

I needn’t have worried — by the time they were all wrapped in brown paper, I couldn’t remember which was which anyway.
