You have to DO something
We look at luck as something entirely separate from us, the classic God-like big pointy finger from the sky that drops an opportunity in our lap.
Luck exists. It isn’t fair. It works in really strange indirect ways. It is powerful.
But here’s the thing, you can increase the chances of it helping you. The one thing that has transformed my business is finding out, applying for, and being accepted on a Research & Development funding round.
How did I find out? I was at a writing conference (something I do as a hobby) and talked to some lonely looking people at an information stand. They mentioned the scheme as an aside.
I followed a passion (writing). I reached out (talked to someone). Neither were directly related to the opportunity that has rocket-charged my company.
