Great article. So, we had an ancient petrol car, we loved it, but we did take it to the end, the full end, and it broke down for good 2 weeks before we moved cities. We needed a car quick, got, to my shame, a 3 year deal on an SUV. When that ran out, I really wanted an EV but we simply couldn't afford one with the range we needed to see family, so I went for the cheapest, lightest, most efficient new petrol car I could find and we will run that into the ground. I just don't want to be responsible for another new car (and all the cobalt and lithium) being made.
