Great article, Lisa. Part of the reason I love Star Trek is that the writers and actors had permission to grapple with life's biggest questions. The space adventure format is the perfect context to explore these stories because anything is possible - worlds, situations and decisions (like the one in Generations) can be invented that clearly teach us lessons for our real lives here on earth.
