Let’s be honest, drinking is fun. I’m not trying to be irresponsible here, I’m just telling it how it is. Consuming alcohol would not be so wildly popular unless it was enjoyable.

But booze is one of those areas where it’s too easy to have too much of a good thing.

Overdo it and you feel, well… horrific. Then it’s not fun. Not at all.

As you age, your hangovers get worse. Your body is less indestructible than it was in your twenties and you can’t expect to get away with what you used to.

Is the solution to stop drinking altogether? For some, yes. I have so much admiration for those who are able to knock the grog on the head permanently.

For others who carry on consuming alcohol I have some advice on what you can do to make the morning after the night before a lot more bearable.…

Food Is Your Friend

I’ve just come back from a weekend reunion with some old university mates. We rolled back the years, all the old in-jokes and silliness returned… and so did the multiple beers.

I managed to both have a good time, feeling as if I was a full part of all the fun AND feel fine in the morning.
