I think you point about whether you love your side hustle enough is a key one. I love writing but I don't think I could do it full time. I actually think working the same job (or same industry) for years is just really boring and fails to get the best out of people. Side hustles are a great way to try new things and build a portfolio of activities and income streams that keep you fresh, interested and (hopefully) earning a living too.
