Making Is Better Than Buying

We have to find the positives from lockdown and add them to our ‘back to normal’ lives. That way we come out of all this in credit.

Imagine how much better our lives will be in the future if we can emerge with these resolutions in place:

• not take simple pleasures for granted any more
• take every opportunity to experience new things
• continue newly discovered skills and pleasures

That’s a triple threat.

If you’ve had an at-risk member of your household, you’ll have had to find new ways to make (or do without) anything that can’t be delivered, for nearly a year now.

That’s what’s led to every occasion card in our house (birthdays, Christmas, and now Valentine’s Day) being homemade.

Making your own cards is more fun to do, to give and to receive.

I’ll never buy a card again.
