Notice The Good Stuff
Our world has changed. We are changing. Amongst the pain there is — and will continue to be — some good in what is different.
We have to notice it and be encouraged.
Last night I was in a six (yes, six!) hour video call, to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
We hadn’t intended it to be so long. Months ago we would have all signed off after an hour or two, frustrated because it “wasn’t the same.” But we’ve found ways to make it work. That’s good.
An old friend joined from Australia over their breakfast, another from a family lunch in San Francisco. It wouldn’t have happened if a few of us had met down the pub as usual. That’s good.
Life is difficult at the moment. But there is good out there. We must notice it, find it, cling to it, and build on it.
