The amount of calls I get from people just wanting to have "a quick chat about Podcasting" - hours of chats later and I've given them up-to-date professional and industry-proved advice and they just nip off and give it a try themselves and never think to thank, reciprocate let alone even consider paying me. Professional advice is professional advice. You wouldn't think of not paying a lawyer or doctor for their professional input, but it's OK when it's someone whose work is something "fun".
