The Creative Power Of Solitude

Achieve alone

In the modern world of work, huge emphasis is put on teamwork and collaboration. It seeps in through entertainment too — artists are at pains to at least appear collaborative and grateful for the rest of the iceberg that they, and their visible success, is just the tip of.

But you can have too much of a good thing. That’s when you get days when all you seem to be doing is being in meetings. Sometimes meetings about meetings!

Every once in a while, carve out time alone, and re-learn the quality and quantity of achievements you can make on your own. You’ll be surprised. Alone, you naturally meet your basic needs when and how is best for you. You get in the zone and can stay there. You stick or twist as needed.

The best manager you’ll ever have is yourself.
