The Number 1 Threat to Productivity, Health and Good Relationships
And we have so much control over it
Imagine a drug that if you took it, within a few hours you’d be guaranteed to feel at the top of your game mentally, physically and emotionally.
Even better, imagine if it wasn’t medication — it was a totally natural special “thing” (a bit like Asterix’s magic formula) with absolutely no cost, no side effects and no danger of addiction or overdosing.
The above description has often been used in reference to exercise — it’s positive benefits are so huge that they far outweigh the impact of any one type of medication.
Well, the magic “thing” that I’m talking about does exist, but it’s not exercise and it’s not a potion. And let’s just examine what life is like on the flip side without it…
We’re irritable, we make bad eating and drinking choices (which can set up a negative feedback loop and send us spiralling), we feel down, we anger easily and don’t present the best version of us to either ourselves or the people we encounter.
Given that it has such a massive “swing effect” on us (get it right and we’re on top of the world, get it wrong and our productivity, health and relationships are threatened)… you’d think we’d make it a priority.
