There’s A Local Business You Haven’t Tried Yet

Now is the time

For months I’ve been walking past a small independent beer shop / micro-pub in my area. Every time I passed I thought “I must try that place”, but I never did, until last night.

It was brilliant. The beer was good, the atmosphere friendly, and the little garden we sat in suddenly revealed itself to be a riot of plants (that you just didn’t see from the road).

I talked to one of the owners — it’s a husband and wife team — and they explained their dream of running a community-oriented place with a focus on local brewers.

I’m so glad places like this still exist, and have survived lockdown. Somewhere near you, there is a cafe, shop, or business just like it and now is when they need your support.

Use it, or lose it.
