This is a great read, Arpad. Your father was only a few years older than mine and, while faced with the same world, their different contexts meant they had completely different challenges and experiences. And yet I recognise so much of my own father in yours - it must be a generational thing. I'm glad you got to mend fences later in life, and sorry you didn't get more time with your old man. I lost mine too, many years ago... and as a man, it is a gap in one's life to not have your father around.
