This is such an easy, but dangerous path to go down. Social media brings so much pressure to appear perfect. Brilliant that you can recognize this is what was happening in your childhood,and try not to repeat the cycle. The way you describe your own family — at the end of this article — as an “imperfect little unit”… is brilliant. Perfectly imperfect. I totally agree.
