Did you ever have a sleepover party when you were a kid? And wake up in the middle of the night, sneak down to the kitchen with your friends and fix yourself a midnight feast?
With no parents around and with the temptation to show off to your mates, you got out all the “secret” sweets, the posh biscuits, everything and anything you could lay your hands on and you all ate exactly what you wanted.
It was glorious fun for about twenty minutes. Then you felt sick. And, annoyingly, you realised why treat foods are the treats, or the desserts, or the unhealthy snacks… and not the main meal.
Still, it was worth it! (But you wouldn’t do it every night).
Running Before You Can Walk
Life is not as simple as taking a common sense approach to midnight feasts. Sometimes, in life, it is a good idea to skip the main meal and go straight for dessert.
There are situations where it’s worth shooting for the moon, without doing all the groundwork, because it might just come off.
