Use A Time Crisis To Your Advantage
Gamify your goals
One of the most impactful questions I ask people/companies I’m consulting for is this:
“If you had to do this task in 1 hour, what would you do?”
Often the task in question will be a big project like a new podcast series or an outreach project. It would usually involve months of meetings, many staff and, let’s be honest, a lot of wasted time.
Put yourself under unreasonable time pressure, but accept that you have to complete the task, and a few things naturally happen. You simplify, you get creative and you communicate clearly. These are all fantastic things to do anyway!
So, ask yourself the question. If you had to complete the task you are struggling with in 1 hour, how would you do it?
