Want to Know What Happens When You Stop Writing on Medium?

I was expecting two of these outcomes, but not the third…

So, you’re writing on Medium. If others can make it to the promised land of 3,4… even 5 figure incomes per month on here, then you see no reason why you can’t too.

You get real serious, real quick.

You pump out articles left, right and centre. You successfully navigate the politics, inconsistency and snobbery of the big publications to land a few hits.

You gain followers, time-block your writing to be productive, plus read, highlight, comment and clap to be an active member of the community.

You are doing Medium, and doing it well. The little green bars stack up. The money starts dripping in, then splashing, then flowing.

All is well.

But then you stop.

Why? Because, life. Your actual job perhaps. Or a holiday. Or a lack of ideas. Or a challenge in your personal life.

Whatever the reason, the result is that your level of output drops, slows or comes to a halt entirely.

Then what happens?

I’ll tell you (because after a week on holiday myself, I can see it all happening again)…
