Well said Lisa. Self-improvement is a business, pure and simple. Part of the reason I like Medium is that there are some people (not everyone by any stretch) in the middle ground. They have enough experience and knowledge to give real advice but they haven't "made it" to the point where they can just dish out advice with no real basis (or outdated basis) while they live a luxury, high-earning and low-stress life which is completely out of touch with the hard-working, stressful, make-ends-meet reality of the people who would benefit from good advice the most.
