Why Walk’n’Talk Is A Brilliant Way To Socialise

The simplest ideas are the best. And when you discover something new, brilliant and easy, you wonder why you never did it before.

Why didn’t anyone tell me that socialising over a walk was so good?

Maybe I’m getting old (true), perhaps the un-normal life we have all had to lead over the last year or two brought things into focus (also true), but suddenly this way of catching up with a friend or two makes perfect sense.

Let me make the case…

Being In Nature

Wherever you live, there will be bits of local greenery you haven’t explored yet, or didn’t even realise were accessible. Most of our perception of our locality is based on the road system.

If you can’t see an access point to a park, riverside path or wood from a main road, it may not be on your radar.

Ask around. Dog-walkers are a good source of knowledge — they have to walk the local area once or twice a day, and that regularity and access to the dog-owning community hive-mind usually turns up some gems.
