Within The Boundaries Of What Is Possible
There’s a lot more than we think…
No-one knows how long any not-locked-down period will last. While I could, I took the chance to see friends. Everything about my 24 hr trip was different than pre-Covid.
A hire car for the long distance, not public transport. Staying with a friend but maintaining social distancing. Socialising outside. Masks on when on local public transport. Pre-booking a table outside a pub somewhere only one train ride away for the 4 people coming. Ordering via app. Hand gel at every opportunity.
But we did it, and enjoyed it. We weren’t trying to escape, to feel as if the pandemic didn’t exist, it was just that we were finding a new way through. Still able to connect, within the boundaries of what was possible.
A lot is possible in 24 hours.
