Yes. Even when I was stay-at-home-Dad and thought it would be impossible to break into the groups of other Mums going for coffee, I managed to make some friends and I got far better at just introducing myself to people - kids are a great conversation starter (and then once the ice is broken you want to talk about anything but kids!)
