You make a really good point about the world craving stories, and to be attractive to us they need to have the same rhythms. I learnt this on a screenwriting course. Most commercially successful films hit the same structural high and low points. I'd love more originality, but if, as your argument suggests, we're all in an infinite loop of sorts, perhaps it doesn't matter that all stories, are, essentially the same.
