You Never Know The Part You’ve Played

I once took the chance to tell an older friend of mine the difference they had made to my life. How they had inspired me by their actions and example. This person was no great speech-maker or ‘life coach’, they just knew what they believed and valued and lived their life accordingly.
When I told them, they were moved. It meant an awful lot to them.
We won’t always get to have those conversations.
But know that there will be people you have inspired along the way without you even knowing it.
When we’re down on ourselves it’s easy to think we’ve amounted to nothing, we haven’t achieved anything, haven’t affected any real change.
But that ignores all the butterfly wing flaps of our actions which have caused hurricanes of positivity in other people’s lives.
